Learn To Fly
With Confidence

Personalized flight training with a certified instructor,
from your first flight to your pilot certificate.

Why Work with Me

One-on-One Ground Instruction

Learn the "why" behind flying in a setting made just for you. Ground lessons can be done in person or online through Microsoft Teams, whichever fits your schedule best.

Simulator Training

Practice flying in a realistic flight simulator before you even leave the ground. It's a safe way to build skills fast, and it will soon be certified as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD), a simulator officially approved by the FAA to count toward your flight training hours.

In-Aircraft Flight Instruction

Put what you've learned into practice in a real airplane, with an instructor by your side every step of the way.

Private Pilot Certificate

The Private Pilot Certificate is the first step into flying. It's built for beginners, no experience needed. This certificate teaches you the core skills to fly safely and confidently, opening the door to personal travel, new adventures, and every advanced rating that follows.

1. Learn the Basics

I start every student with flight planning, since you don't need to fly to learn how to plan a flight. This teaches the basics in a hands-on way instead of just talking about them. You'll learn how to gather airport information, read aviation charts, calculate weight and balance, get a weather briefing and understand it, and use that weather data to figure out aircraft performance with the POH.

2. Solo Preparation

I teach you the maneuvers, procedures, and regulations required to fly safely on your own. This phase ends with your first solo flight.

3. Advanced Flying

I build on your solo skills with performance maneuvers, emergency procedures, night operations, and instrument flying. You'll gain the confidence to handle more challenging situations.

4. Cross-Country Training

I teach you how to plan and fly longer trips using GPS, VOR navigation, and electronic flight bags. You'll complete both day and night cross-country flights.

5. Examination Prep

I prepare you for your knowledge test and checkride with focused review and practice. My goal is to get you ready to pass on the first attempt.

About Me

I got my private pilot license in 2005, but life got in the way. Financial issues and poor planning kept me out of the cockpit from 2005 to 2016. When I came back to aviation, I went all in and started the long road toward becoming a flight instructor.

That road wasn’t easy. My own training as a flight student left me frustrated more than once, and I saw firsthand how much of a difference good instruction makes. So I decided to build something better: a training program that teaches practical skills in a practical order, instead of piling on abstract concepts before students are ready to use them.

Today I’m a Certificated Flight Instructor with an instrument rating (CFII), with over 1,500 hours of flight time and more than 1,100 hours of dual instruction given. My goal is simple: help you become a safe, confident pilot without the frustration I went through to get here.
